Joining the ISSU
In the words of Mr. Walt Disney himself “our greatest resources is the minds of our children”.
- The ISSU has long held the belief that Students should not have to pay for their voice to be heard – Membership of the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union is FREE and is open to all second-level student councils in Ireland. This includes those in second-level schools and centres of education (YouthReach)
- Once a school student council is affiliated to ISSU – those students in that school are full members of the ISSU
- Membership lasts for 3 years, and schools receive a certificate of membership
- Members are invited to ISSU training days and events, as well as to ISSU Council of School meetings in each of the 5 regions (Dublin, Connaught, Leinster, Munster and Ulster ).
All second-level schools and centers of education are granted observer status by the ISSU (no voting rights, limited membership benefits). This means all second-level students are affiliated to ISSU in some way, and we can represent individual students. Contact us for more info!!
Contact the ISSU national office if you would like some further information on membership or indeed if you want to join.
