[vc_row][vc_column][vc_toggle title=”Why should I join the ISSU?” open=”true” animation=”fadeInDownBig-1 blind”]

  • The ISSU has long held the belief that students should not have to pay for their voice to be heard – Membership of the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union  is FREE and is open to all second-level student councils in Ireland. This includes those in second-level schools and centres of education (YouthReach)
  • Once a school student council is affiliated to ISSU – those students in that school are full members of the ISSU
  • Membership lasts for life and schools receive a certificate of membership after becoming members
  • Members are invited to ISSU training days and events, as well as to ISSU Council of School meetings in each of the 11 regions.
  • The ISSU works in collaboration with other educational and youth institutions and bodies both in Ireland and in Europe
  • And most importantly, to give students a structured platform through which the voice of the Irish second-level student will be heard. The ISSU is run by students, for students!
