The Board of Directors of the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union (ISSU) have legal responsability for the organisation. The Board was revamped as part of the ISSU’s Strategic Plan where, starting in 2022, specific portfolios were identified and subsequently, recruitment of Directors who skills and experience fulfilled each portfolio began.

The Board consists of nine Directors. Within the Board, three Directors sit on the Overisght Committee; the Chair, the Managing Director, and the Company Secretary.
