Getting to University College Cork

Registration will open at 10am with the event kicking off at 10:30am.

 

Directions

This is once in a life time event aimed at rural students taking place in the beautiful and historic University College Cork in the UCC Boole Library Creative Zone. Below there is information on how to get to the Dora Allman room via public transport and walking onto the campus.

By train

If you are arriving by train via Cork Kent Station, you can access UCC Campus by the below options. Find the map here.

Bus- You can take the 205 bus to UCC College Road Gate, stop 241741 (this is the most direct route) or the 214 bus to 98 St Junction stop 243061 followed by a 10 minute walk to UCC Campus.

Walking- You can walk via the city centre and Western Road to UCC campus. This walk takes approximately 35-40 minutes

Cycling- There are TFI Bikes available to rent using a TFI Bike card which can leave at the bike station outside UCC on Western Road. General bike parking map can be found here.

By BUS

If you are arriving by bus via Bus Éireann, West Cork Connect, Cobh Connect or CityLink place follow the below information. Find the map here.

Bus- You can take the 205 bus to UCC College Road Gate, stop 241741 or the 208 or 220 buses to UCC Western Road Stop 240531

Walking- You can walk via the city centre and Western Road to UCC campus. This walk takes approximately 15-30 minutes depending on your bus stop/station.

Cycling- There are TFI Bikes available to rent using a TFI Bike card which can leave at the bike station outside UCC on Western Road. Bike parking map can be found here.

By Car/ride share

We understand that not all rural student shave access to reasonable public transport. Click here to find a map of the main approach routes. If you are getting a lift or driving to the event here is what you need to know:

Parking- There are two visitors carparks around the campus. Perrott Avenue Car Park (110 spaces) on College Road and Perrott’s Inch Car park (70 spaces) on Western Road. Parking is free for the first 30 mins, €1 for the first hour and €2 for each additional hour. Map can be found here.

Drop Off- There are ample areas along College Road to get dropped off such as the UCC College Road gates beside the Electrical Engineering Building.

ON CAMPUS Event location

SDGs & Me will take place in the UCC Boole Library T12 ND89. The room is the Creative Zone is found on the ground floor of the library and can be accessed through the main doors.
